Outline the cranium by drawing a semicircle.

Draw The Cheek Bones
Draw the cheek bones by creating curved lines on both sides.

Add the jaw bone by drawing a U-shaped line.

Outline The Facial Structure
Let's draw the facial structure. First, draw the eye sockets by creating two rounded shapes. Next, draw the hollow space of the nose by making an inverted heart shape. Then, draw a curved line for the mouth.

Draw The Teeth
Draw bumpy lines on the top and bottom of the mouth line to form the teeth.

Decorate The Mouth
Decorate the mouth by drawing the shapes on the chin part as shown. Emphasize the form of the teeth by adding lines.

Decorate The Eyes And Cheeks
Next, let's decorate the eyes and cheeks. First, draw flowers on the eyes and cheeks as shown. Then, draw a bumpy line outside both eye sockets.

Decorate The Forehead
Decorate the forehead by first drawing a heart. Next, draw wavy shapes for the eyebrow part. Then, draw the same wavy shape above the heart. Finally, add almond shapes attached to the wavy shapes as shown.

Complete The Sugar Skull Drawing
To complete our sugar skull drawing, color the skull with a white crayon. Next, color the eye sockets and hollow part of the nose with a dark purple. Color the flower petals in the eye socket with yellow and orange crayons and the flower petals on the cheeks with a blue crayon. Now, color the teeth with a yellow crayon. Then, shade the heart and center of the flowers with a red crayon. Finally, color the remaining shapes with blue and green crayons.

A sugar skull is a decorative skull made from sugar or clay to celebrate the Mexican Day of the Dead. In spanish this famous holiday is called "Dia de Muertos".
Sugar skulls are usually shaped like human skulls and are often decorated with colorful designs and motifs, such as flowers, fruits, or animals. Mexican sugar skulls are usually made of sugar and while technically edible they are usually used for decoration purposes only.
Because they are used mostly for decoration, sugar skulls are sometimes made of clay as well.
Sugar skulls come in different sizes to represent the age of the person who has died. The smaller skulls represent deceased children. The larger skulls are there to remind family members of adults who have since deceased as well
The Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico on November 1st through the 2nd. It is a time to remember those who have died in the past year. The celebration includes building altars called ofrendas with food, drinks, candles, and flowers for family members who have died.
